SYNOCROM is a sterile aqueous solution for intra-articular use only.
The product contains hyaluronic acid in a form that is almost identical to the body's own hyaluronic acid, of the highest pure form to be injected into joints affected by osteoarthritis, thus reducing the patient's need for steroids or anti-inflammatory drugs to combat joint pain(s).
It can be used on all synovial joints.
How does Synocrom work and how long does it last for?
Synocrom contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the joints.
As we age, hyaluronic acid is broken down faster than it is produced and becomes less able to carry out its role as a lubricant and shock absorber, which eventually results in joint pains.
Synocrom is able to provide relief for pain caused by osteoarthritis by providing the lubrication required for mobility and ease of pain.
Frequency of usage will be advised by a physician/doctor and is often dependent on the severity of the patient's osteoarthritis.
Injections can be administered from 3 to 5 times at weekly intervals and repeated if necessary.
3x1ml sterile prefilled syringes.
Each syringe is fitted with a luer lock to ensure a safe injection.
What are the associated side effects?
Some patients may experience symptoms of pain, warmth, redness and swelling at the site of injection.
It is recommended to apply an ice pack to the joint treated to prevent and soothe these symptoms.
